Base Camp at Utsteinen
Focus on the base camp at Utsteinen, in the Kingdom of the Princess Elisabeth Station. When the expedition members aren't out working around the station (and that's pretty rare), base camp is where the members carry ou their various daily activities. Whether the skies are clear or grey, spirits are always high.

As always, the princess looks beautiful! Completely unfazed by the bad weather. What a lady!

Clouds and more clouds: This is one of the rare moments you can actually see something!

More snow left by the blizzard. On the left under a blanket of snow we find the generator, which ensures a certain level of comfort, while on the right we find the container filled with medical supplies, which has almost completely disappeared!

With the medical doctor (Dr. Nathalie Pattyn) not very busy, she's started blogging a lot. An interior view of the hospital, where it's quite warm and you can get away with wearing (relatively) little clothing!

Mazarin Bernard Polet (general construction), our wise man (and one of the two old guys in the balcony from the Muppet Show), seen here in action doing some hardcore online shopping - although he's not interested in clothes so much as he is in construction materials.

Life at Utsteinen. Containers, the nunatak, and a sun that burns through an obscure landscape...

Here François collects drinking water with a shovel (No dead leaves, few regrets and many memories - but that's another story... He's making an allusion to a French song that very few if any English speakers would know - pointless to put the translation I think) François, the cook, standing in our inexhaustible "reservoir" of drinking water.
