Inauguration of the Princess Elisabeth Station in Utsteinen
The Princess Elisabeth Station, the only polar station built during the International Polar Year and the first "zero emission" station ever, was officially inaugurated on Sunday 15th February 2009. The station, which is now without a doubt a model of stations to come, marks Belgium's return to Antarctica.
