Polar Research in Full Swing
The international polar research projects being carried out at or in the vicinity of the Princess Elisabeth Station in Antarctica range from geology to microbiology. All of these projects contribute to a better understanding of Antarctica's climate, geology or endemic species. Presented in this picture gallery are the GIANT, BELDIVA and BELATMOS projects, as well as the geology project of the BGR (Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaffen und Rohstoffe).
