Scientists Begin Their Work during the 2019-2020 Season
Scientists from the CHASE, MASS2ANT and POPE projects arrived on the first ever intercontinental flight to Perseus Airstrip on 22 November, and have been working on their respsective research projects. With requird field trainging out of the way, the scientsits are already busy at work, with members of the MASS2ANT and CHASE teams already heading to the coast to conduct their field research thsi season.
The Pricness Elisabeth Antarctica also hosted Japanese scientists on the 64th Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE64). They stayed stayed for a few days at the station before heading into the feild for several weeks to conduct a geological survey.
Only a few weeks into the season and a lot has already been acocmplished.
