Whiteout at Utsteinen
Until now, we had only had good weather at Utsteinen, which fooled us into thinking that summer in Antarctica wasn't going to be as bad as we had thought. But our luck could only have held out for so long: a blizzard hit Utsteinen, reducing visibility to almost zero. We're in total whiteout conditions; we can barely see the ends of our own boots. And it's been like this for four days!
