Glaciology explained
Glaciologists from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium talk about their research for the IceCon project, both in the field in Antarctica and in their laboratory back in Brussels.
In this video, scientists share their experiences after returning from the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica station during the 2014-15 field season, where they spent three weeks on the King Baudouin Ice Shelf to extract ice cores and make a series of measurements and observations.
They explain the importance of their research - to better understand climate history - and show us exactly the process theyuse to analyze ice cores in their laboratory.
