GEOMAG observatory gets instruments and Toyota Hiluxes see more action
Here are some photos of the GEOMAG observatory as the first instruments are set up in the shelter built to house them more than half a kilometre away from the station. Also for your viewing pleasure are more photos of the modified Toyota Hiluxes in action in Antarctica, and some great photos of the station under that magical mid-February light you see in the Dronning Maud Land.
With only a month before the end of the austral summer, the sun moves lower and lower over the horizon with each passing day, and the sky takes on a purple hue.

The Toyota Hiluxes sure are useful for checking remote scientific instruments in this kind of mountainous terrain!

Some of us in the team have spent more than three years of our life in total at this station. We love this place!
